Listen for the heartbeat. Silence...... I can feel the steam envelope me & pull me in, to try to remember but I refuse to. Looking through the mist I can see the tile. There is a smile standing in it. Move faster. The soapy bubbles glide down the stream of water cascading down my body & my arms start to shudder. Quicker. The hotter it gets the more I remember I like it colder. This is not me I'm trying to remember. Listen. Can you hear it? I don't want to remember. The longer I stay, the harder it gets & now I can feel the touch. Get out! Rinsing off the soap now feels like washing the memory away but it lingers. I can now hear laughter. The
